My mind

We’ve got tips on gaining confidence, blasting anxiety and general life stuff from the people who’ve been there. Remember, we’re in this thing called life together!

So just imagine if whenever you told a white lie, or pretended you felt one way when you actually felt the complete opposite, everyone could read what you were actually thinking. It would be too much! People would be able to see your honest feelings and know how you really felt, and… actually, hang on! *lightbulb moment* Maybe that’s not so bad?

In this video, Suli Breaks and three other people tell little lies – like being confident about going on stage, or not missing their friend at all or not caring about their exams – but we can see what they really mean. Honesty is the best policy – you’ve all heard that one, right? Well when it comes to important issues that can really get you down – like getting stressed about grades or feeling jealous about something (totally okay) or being nervous because you have friends taking drugs – then you are so allowed to be honest and tell someone. You’ll feel way better, trust, and if the situation starts resolving itself the stress it’s been causing starts to go – and we all know you haven’t got time for that stress.

So change it up and start being honest with yourself. No-one’s gonna think any less of you for being straight up and speaking it how it is. Chances are other people are gonna feel the same way and be able to help you out. Honestly, there’s no shame in honesty.
