I’ve been thinking about why we boys don’t seem to confide in our mates as much as girls do. Is it because we feel like it’s not what boys are meant to do or is it something else?
When we’re feeling upset or angry, we can be pretty good at keeping stuff inside and not letting others know how we feel. Keeping stuff locked up inside can mean the weight of our problems stay on our shoulders and feel frustrated.
There seems to be differences between how boys and girls chat with each other too: we tend to try and laugh everything off, whereas girls tend to talk about it and be more open.
Rather than feeling like we’re going through stuff alone, we could try letting our mates or family know what’s going on. It might cut down the stress and worry we feel inside.
