Suli Breaks on friendship
Suli Breaks understands about friends – and he’s not talking about 98,000 followers on Facebook (though he appreciates the love!) – he’s about the four or five actual friends he sees in the real world who support him and push him forward in life. If you worry you don’t have enough friends, or think “I don’t have any friends” then check out this spoken-word piece about the power of friends who benefit you, and the danger of fake friends.
Real friends inspire you to be better, they push you to go further and be the best you can and they’re there for you when times are hard and it feels like the world’s against you. Fake friends? They’re there sometimes, but then sometimes they take the piss or they peer pressure you, or when you need them they just aren’t around. They drag you back when you want to fly ahead, so beware those fake friends.
It goes two ways though – you’ve gotta be strong for your friends and listen to them and care for them. Friends benefit each other emotionally, spiritually, mentally and regularly. It’s deep, but trust: check Suli’s poem and take in the words, because he knows what he’s saying and what he’s saying is truth.
