Thatcher Joe on smoking, drinking & drugs

Joe Sugg and Caspar talk about growing up, smoking, alcohol and drugs.

How would you say no to someone who offered you a cigarette or drink you just didn’t want?

It’s great to hear you’re trying really hard to stop smoking, well done! Making any change can be tough at times but it could really help to let your friends, or anyone else who knows you smoke, know that you’re stopping and ask for their support. Practice saying “no thanks I don’t smoke” so you feel more confident to turn down a cigarette. If I got offered anything like that I would wait and see what my friends do and if they do it then I might consider doing it

smoking: would advise against it. i mean, you’ve probably already seen the ads on tv about them. drugs: to put it lightly, avoid at all costs. alcohol: a drink here or there never hurt anyone, as long as you’re not drinking to escape. if that’s happening then contact someone.

To be honest i don’t think that alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs are that bad. i mean a bit of weed or a drink never hurt anyone. It just depends on the person really and as long as you choose not to abuse it it’s cool. Personally i try to stay away from alcohol and drugs because i have an addictive personality. but if someone offers you something that you don’t want, just say no. If they won’t be okay with it, that’s their problem, not yours.

It’s great that you’ve had the confidence to make up your own mind about drugs and alcohol. You’re right – you shouldn’t be afraid to just say no! We know it can be tough but real friends will respect your choices.

Cigarettes – if they thought i was strange for just saying no i think i would stay away from them. Drink – i can tell people the real reason i’m not gonna drink – i could jump off a cliff just on sugar. I am too naturally hyper for anything like that.
