Hannah Witton on contraception
Contraception can be pretty confusing, right? ‘Cos there are so many different types and they all kinda do different things and also some of them sound similar, and which ones are for pregnancy and which are for STIs? Or are they all for all of it? *face melts*
RELAX. Hannah Witton knows about sex, and in the video she gives a comprehensive run-through of all the various types of contraception – including how effective they are, what exactly they prevent and how you use them. One key distinction is that the only contraception that prevents STIs is the humble condom – the rest are for pregnancy only. For all the other info you’re gonna have to watch the video! Which you should anyway – whatever genitals you own – because knowing about this stuff is so important. Guys – you should take an active interest!! It shows you care – because we know you do really – and also, you really don’t want a baby or an STI, do you now?
Hannah also talks about consent, and how to avoid any kind of pressure to have sex. Everyone needs to be clear about what’s happening, and fully consenting – especially if it’s anyone’s first time having sex. If you’re unsure – just ask!
