How to make difficult conversations less difficult
By Lily.
The sound of priceless china shattering at my feet echoed around the house.
My mum’s favourite vase, given to her by her mum when she was a child, was lying in pieces around me.
I quickly scanned the damage. Nope – glue was not the solution.
I’d have to take a deep breath, stand up straight and (gulp) tell my mum what I’d done…
After I had confessed all, I felt loads better.
She was angry, But she was less mad than if she’d had to find out later on. Because I forced myself have that difficult conversation with her, it made things a whole lot easier to move on from.
So remember – talking is good, even if it seems difficult at first!
